Case Study: Entrepreneur and Speaker

The Challenge

Building success without a clear sense of direction

Before the engagement, I had been an entrepreneur for over a decade, with ups and downs and regular frustrations with business not evolving as I was hoping for. It felt like a constant struggle with more lows than highs, and like I was constantly hitting a wall in my business growth that I did not understand how to cross.

Although already successful as a speaker at the time, in hindsight I can say that I did not have a north star or a guiding direction of where I wanted to go. I had ideas — I have always had plenty of ideas — but a sense of direction was missing.

There was a lot of frustration in my work. It felt like a constant grind that cost more energy than it returned. I was not in burnout, but it did feel like a struggle. Things would go well for a few months and then I would hit another wall that had a big emotional effect on me.

The Approach

Learning to trust the process and see the bigger picture

When we were introduced to each other, I did have the intuition that it would be good to start working on myself, but I was not actively looking for a coach. I did not have a specific problem I was trying to solve or a direction I was actively seeking.

Over time, the insights came as we worked through a variety of issues that resided at the subconscious level. Throughout the process, Max guided me towards a better understanding of myself and my environment, seeing reasons to trust the process and integrating the past in a way that became beneficial to my present.

This whole process was a surprise to me. It took some pressure to become willing and open enough to see the bigger picture and its positive effects on me.

There were many aha moments throughout the 18 months we worked together, and I am very grateful for the insights I found during our conversations.

The Outcome

Finding a north star that brought everything into alignment

So much has changed. I now look at the world through a different lens — one where I have integrated my past, trust the process, go with the flow of the universe and give myself the authority to deliver the change the world needs.

I am calmer, more confident and less emotionally reactive.

The tangible outcome is that I am no longer frustrated if my business does not go as planned, because I trust the process. I no longer feel the need to move faster and faster, and that has created a real sense of calmness.

I am now very aware of what I am building with my company, okay with it taking longer than anticipated, and much more able to enjoy the process itself.

Most importantly, I have found my life’s thesis — the north star that aligns the various activities in my life and gives me confidence and purpose.

Even if you strongly believe you do not need help in the work that you do, be open to guidance and new perspectives. A shift in perspective can take you further than you can imagine.
